Grilled Tempeh Sandwiches

Tempeh is a fermented-soybean product

Ingredients:

  1. 1 package tempeh
  2. Marinade:
  3. 1 cup red wine
  4. 4 Tablespoons olive oil
  5. 3 cloves (large) garlic, mashed
  6. 2 teaspoons coriander seeds, crushed (or 1 teaspoon ground coriander)
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Your favorite bread
  9. Lettuce leaves
  10. Tomato slices
Directions:

1. Thaw tempeh if frozen and cut the cakes in half crosswise, then split each half horizontally, using a long sharp knife.

2. Marinate the tempeh slices at least 1 hour at room temperture or 3 hours in the refrigerator.

3. Drain the tempeh and grill or broil until well browned. Make sandwiches of it on toasted bread with lettuce, tomato, and your favorite spread.
