Cheesy Bean Dip

Ingredients:

  1. 2 cans (16 ounce each) refried beans
  2. 1 can (4 ounce) chopped green chilies
  3. 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  4. 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  5. 2 cups (8 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  6. 1 jar (16 ounce) salsa
  7. Serve with:
  8. Tortilla chips
Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F

In a saucepan mix beans, chilies, onion, garlic powder and 1/2 cup of cheese. Heat (being careful not to scorch) until beans are hot and cheese is melted. Pour into a 1- quart casserole dish.

Pour salsa over top and using a spoon, slightly press salsa into the beans. Sprinkle remaining cheese over the top.

Bake for about 10 to 15 minutes, until the cheese is melted. Serve with tortilla chips.
