Raisin Bran Date Bread

1 loaf

Ingredients:

  1. 2 cups raisin bran cereal
  2. 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter, melted
  3. 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  4. 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  5. 1 package (16.6 ounce) date quick bread mix or any quick bread flavor
Directions:

Mix cereal, butter, sugar and cinnamon in medium bowl; set aside.

Prepare bread mix as directed on package. Pour 1/2 of the batter into greased and floured 9x5 inch loaf pan. Sprinkle 1/2 of the cereal mixture evenly over batter.

Pour remaining batter into pan and sprinkle with remaining cereal mixture. Gently press cereal mixture into batter.

Bake at 350 degrees F. for 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 15 minutes; remove from pan. Cool completely on wire rack.
