Barbecue Beans

Yield:
8-10 servings

Ingredients:

  1. 1/2 lb. ground beef
  2. 1/2 large onion, chopped
  3. 1/4 medium green pepper, chopped
  4. 2 ribs celery, chopped
  5. 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  6. 1/2 cup ketchup
  7. 1/2 teaspoon ketchup
  8. 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  9. 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  10. 2 cans (28 oz.) pork and beans
Directions:

In a large skillet, brown beef with onion, green pepper and celery until meat is done. Drain and stir in ketchup, ginger, brown sugar and cloves. Add beans and mix well. Spoon into a 2 1/2 quart baking dish. Bake, uncovered, for 1 - 1 1/2 hours or until beans are at desired consistency.
