Traditional Scalloped Potatoes

Ingredients:

  1. 1 can (10 3/4 ounce) cream of mushroom soup or cream of celery soup
  2. 1/3 to 1/2 cup milk
  3. 1/4 cup freshly chopped parsley
  4. dash pepper
  5. 4 cups (2 1/2 pounds) russet potatoes, peeled and sliced 1/4 inch thick
  6. 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  7. 2 tablespoons butter
  8. dash paprika
Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F

In a medium bowl, combine soup, milk, parsley and pepper.

In 1 1/2-quart casserole, arrange alternate layers of potatoes, onion and sauce. Dot top with butter; sprinkle with paprika.

Cover and bake at 375 F for 1 hour. Uncover and bake 15 minutes more or until potatoes are fork-tender.
