Swiss Asparagus au Gratin

Yield:
Serves 6

Ingredients:

  1. 1/2 cup water
  2. 1 1/2 lb. asparagus spears, trimmed
  3. 2 ounces shredded Swiss cheese
  4. 1/4 cup dry bread crumbs
  5. 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  6. 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  7. 1/8 teaspoon pepper
Directions:

Heat oven to 400 degrees.

Bring water to boil in 10-inch skillet; add asparagus. Cook 2 minutes; drain. (Asparagus will still be crisp). Place in a 10- by 6-inch baking dish. Mix remaining ingredients; sprinkle over asparagus.

Bake 8-10 minutes or until cheese mixture is lightly browned.
