Kiwi Ice Pops

Yield:
Makes 8 (1/3-cup) pops

Ingredients:

  1. 4 kiwi fruit, peeled
  2. 1/2 cup tequila or orange juice
  3. 1/4 cup orange liqueur, optional
  4. 3 tablespoons superfine* granulated sugar
  5. 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
Directions:

Place all ingredients in a blender and puree. Spoon or pour into molds**. Freeze until slushy, about 30 minutes. Insert sticks and freeze overnight.

*Superfine sugar is granulated sugar that has been extremely fine-grained. Make your own by whirling regular granulated sugar in your blender until fine.

**Paper or plastic cups can be used in place of molds. Fill the cups with ice pop mixture. Cover the opening with aluminum foil. Make a slit in the foil and insert the stick.
