Hamburger Vegetable Soup

Ingredients:

  1. 1 lb. ground beef
  2. 1/2 cup chopped onion
  3. 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  4. 4 cups beef broth
  5. 1 cup frozen whole kernel corn
  6. 1 can diced tomatoes
  7. 1 pkg. (9 oz.) frozen lima beans
  8. 1/2 cup frozen hash brown potatoes
  9. 1/2 cup carrots, cut into match sticks
  10. 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
  11. 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  12. 1 bay leaf
Directions:

In a large saucepan brown beef and drain. Add onion and pepper and cook until tender. Stir in broth, corn, tomatoes, lima beans, potato, carrots, Worcestershire sauce, basil and bay leaf. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes
or until vegetables are tender. Discard bay leaf before serving.
