Barbecue Cocktail Franks

Makes 32 appetizers

Ingredients:

  1. 1 can (6 ounce) tomato paste
  2. 2 cups water
  3. 2 Tablespoons chopped onion
  4. 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  5. 2 Tablespoons brown sugar
  6. 1 Tablespoon white vinegar
  7. 1 Tablespoon molasses
  8. 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  9. 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  10. 1/4 teaspoon salt
  11. 1 pound cocktail frankfurters
Directions:

In a large saucepan, combine tomato paste, water, onion, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, molasses, lemon juice, mustard and salt. Bring to boil, stirring frequently; reduce heat.

Add cocktail franks; simmer 10 minutes. Serve with frilled toothpicks.
