Lemon Almond Asparagus

8-10 servings

Ingredients:

  1. 2 lbs. fresh asparagus, trimmed
  2. 1/4 cup butter
  3. 5 teaspoon lemon juice
  4. 1/3 cup slivered almonds, toasted
  5. lemon peel strips for garnish
Directions:

In a large skillet, bring asparagus and 1/2 inch water to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 3-5 minutes or until crisp tender. Melt butter; stir in lemon juice. Drain asparagus; top with butter mixture, almonds and lemon peel for garnish.
