Peppermint Pretzel Dippers

Yield:
about 4 dozen

Ingredients:

  1. 1 pkg. (12 oz.) chocolate chips
  2. 1 tablespoon shortening
  3. 1 pkg. (10 oz.) pretzel rods
  4. 40 candy canes, crushed
Directions:

Place chocolate chips and shortening in a 2 cup microwave safe measuring cup; heat until melted. Stir until smooth. Break each pretzel rod in half. Dip the broken end about half way into melted chocolate; roll in crushed candies. Place on cookie sheet covered in waxed paper; chill until set.
