Spicy Chai Tea

Yield:
1 quart

Indian Masala Tea

Ingredients:

  1. 2 cups water
  2. 3-4 whole cloves
  3. 1 cinnamon stick
  4. 3-4 cardamom pods (cracked open)
  5. 1/4 cup loose black tea (or 4 tea bags)
  6. 2 cups milk
  7. 3-4 tablespoons sugar
Directions:

Combine water, cloves, cinnamon stick and cardamom and bring to a boil; simmer 5 minutes. Add black tea and steep for 5 minutes. Add milk and heat, but do not boil. When hot, strain and add sugar. Stir and serve immediately.
