Pastel Cake

Ingredients:

  1. 1 package yellow cake mix
  2. 1 package (4 servings size) lime flavored gelatin
  3. 1 package (4 servings size) lemon flavored gelatin
  4. 2 packages (8 oz. each) Cool Whip, thawed
Directions:

Prepare cake mix as directed on package. Divide batter into two bowls. Add Lime gelatin to one and Lemon gelatin to the other; stir thoroughly.

Pour each into separate greased and floured 9-inch cake pans. Bake at 350 F. for 28-30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 15 minutes and remove from pans to cool on wire racks.

Place lime cake on serving plate; spread with 1/2 tub whipped topping. Top with lemon cake layer; frost with remaining Cool Whip.

Store in refrigerator.
