Sausage And Cheese Grits

Yield:
12 cups

Ingredients:

  1. 8 cups water
  2. 1 teaspoon salt
  3. 2 cups quick cooking grits
  4. 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
  5. 1 lb. roll sausage
  6. 8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
Directions:

In a 6-quart Dutch oven, bring water and salt to a boil. Slowly add grits, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to low; stir in garlic.

Cover and simmer 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove grits from heat; stir in cooked sausage and cheese; serve hot.
