Sun Maid Raisin Nut Cake

The perfect cake to serve at tea time.

Ingredients:

  1. 1/2 lb. self-raising flour
  2. 1/2 teaspoon salt
  3. 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  4. 2 oz. chopped nuts
  5. 4-1/2 oz. Sun Maid Seedless Raisins
  6. 4 oz. margarine
  7. 6 oz. granulated sugar
  8. 2 eggs
Directions:

Grease and flour a loaf tin, 9-1/2 x 5-1/2 x 2 -1/2 inches. Sift together first three ingredients and add the nuts and raisins.

Cream the margarine and sugar thoroughly and add the eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition.

Add the flour mixture alternately with the milk, beating well after each addition, and bake in the prepared tin in a moderate oven at 350 F. for about 1 - 1-1/4 hours.
