White Sangria

Ingredients:

  1. 3 Tablespoons granulated sugar
  2. 1/3 cup apple liqueur
  3. 1 lime, sliced
  4. 1 lemon, sliced
  5. 2 ripe peaches, cut into wedges
  6. 3 ripe green apples, seeded and cut into wedges
  7. 1 bottle (750 ml) white Rioja Spanish wine or other dry white wine
  8. 1 pint raspberries
  9. Sparkling water, for topping off glasses of sangria at table (chilled)
Directions:

Combine sugar, apple liqueur, lime, lemon, peaches and apples in a large pitcher. Stir to dissolve sugar and cover with white wine. Chill at least 4 hours or overnight.

Before serving spoon fruit from Sangria into glasses, adding a few fresh raspberries, and pour wine over top. Add a splash of soda water.
