Greek Pita Burgers

Ingredients:

  1. 1 cup (4 ounce) crumbed feta cheese
  2. 1/4 cup sliced ripe olives
  3. 1 Tablespoon steak sauce
  4. 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  5. 2 Tablespoons mayonnaise
  6. 3 Pita bread, cut in half
  7. 6 slices tomato
  8. Shredded lettuce
  9. Burgers:
  10. 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  11. 1/4 cup steak sauce
  12. Feta Topping:
Directions:

Burgers:
Combine ground beef and 1/4 cup steak sauce and form into 6 patties. Broil, barbecue or pan fry until cooked as desired.

Feta Topping:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F

Combine cheese, olives, 1 Tbsp steak sauce, lemon juice and mayonnaise.

Place cooked burgers in pita bread and spoon topping into each. Place on a baking sheet and warm in oven for 5 minutes. Garnish with tomato and lettuce.
