Cream Havarti and Apple Cookies

Yield:
Makes 3 dozen

Ingredients:

  1. 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  2. 3/4 cup butter, softened
  3. 1/4 cup brown sugar
  4. 1 egg
  5. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  6. 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  7. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  8. 1/2 teaspoon salt
  9. 1-1/2 cups rolled oats, uncooked
  10. 6 ounces cream havarti cheese, shredded
  11. 3/4 cup raisins
  12. 1 cup green apple, peeled and chopped
Directions:

Combine first eight ingredients together in a large bowl, and mix well.

Add oats, cheese, raisins and stir to combine. Gently fold in the apples.

Drop by heaping tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake in preheated 375 oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Let cool on pan for 1 minute, then transfer to rack to cool completely.
