Southern Shrimp and Dumplings

Yield:
Makes 4 servings.

Ingredients:

  1. 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  2. 1/2 cup thinly sliced onion
  3. 1/2 cup thinly sliced green pepper
  4. 1 clove garlic, mashed
  5. 1 can (1 pound ) tomatoes
  6. 2 teaspoons salt
  7. 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  8. Dash cayenne pepper
  9. 2 bay leaves
  10. 8 ounces cooked shrimp
  11. 6 ounces (3 cups) Mueller's Dumpling Macaroni
Directions:

Melt butter in skillet; add onion, green pepper and garlic; cook until crisp-tender but not brown. Stir in tomatoes and seasonings; cover and simmer about 10 minutes. Add shrimp; heat a few minutes; remove bay leaves. Meanwhile, cook macaroni as directed on package; drain. Serve shrimp mixture over macaroni.
